Cookie Policy

Last updated: 15 July 2026

This policy explains what cookies and similar browser-storage technologies peoplecap.in uses, what each one does, and how to manage your preferences. It applies to all visitors to peoplecap.in. peoplecap.in does not use any cookie-based analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking technologies, and we do not set tracking cookies on your device. We do keep basic, first-party page-view counts on our own server; these use no cookies and record no personal data, as described under Measurement below.

For our broader data handling practices, including what we collect when you submit a form, how we handle candidate data, and how we respond to data subject requests under DPDPA, see our Privacy Policy.

How this policy fits within Indian data protection law

The Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 (DPDPA) is the principal Indian law governing how organisations handle personal data of individuals in India. This Cookie Policy is part of how peoplecap.in complies with DPDPA's requirements around informed consent, purpose limitation, and transparent data handling. Specifically, it sets out what is stored on your device when you visit this site, why it is stored, and how to manage or remove it.

The cookie footprint described below is deliberately minimal. We have made a design choice not to deploy cookie-based analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking technologies on this site. Our only measurement is a first-party, server-side page-view count that stores nothing on your device and records no personal data. That is a position, not an oversight.

What we store on your browser

At present, peoplecap.in uses one browser-storage item, used solely to remember whether you have already acknowledged the cookie notice. We do not set tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or analytics cookies on your device.

Cookie name Type Purpose Duration Set by
pc_cookie_consent Strictly necessary (browser localStorage, first-party) Records that you have acknowledged the cookie notice so it does not reappear on every page you visit. Persistent until you clear your browsing data for peoplecap.in. peoplecap.in

Categories in use

This policy uses a standard three-category model: Strictly Necessary, Functional, and Analytics & Tracking. Only one of those categories is currently in use on this site. We have removed the others from this policy rather than list them as empty.

Strictly Necessary

One item, the consent record described above. It is required for the cookie notice on this site to function in a way that respects your preference across visits. It cannot meaningfully be disabled, since disabling it simply means the notice would reappear on each page load.

Visitors who wish to use the site without storing this acknowledgement can use private browsing or browser settings to block storage for peoplecap.in. The site will function normally; the consent notice will simply reappear on each visit.

Measurement

We keep a basic count of page views and button clicks so we can understand which content and calls to action are useful. This measurement is entirely first-party. Page views and form submissions are counted server-side, by our own server, with no involvement from your browser at all. Button clicks are counted by one small first-party script (cta-track.js) that sends a short message to our own server when you click a primary button. Neither path sets a cookie, and neither involves any third party, so there is nothing here for you to accept or decline.

What is recorded is deliberately minimal: the page path, the referring website's domain (never the full address, and never our own domain), a coarse device type (mobile, desktop, or bot), for a button the label and where it links, and a timestamp. We do not record your IP address, we set no identifier, and nothing recorded identifies you. We also count successful form submissions (for example, a contact enquiry) so we know how many were completed, without recording who submitted them.

Third-party services

peoplecap.in uses Google Fonts to load the Inter typeface used across the site. When your browser fetches the font CSS and the font files, Google receives standard HTTP request information including your IP address and User-Agent string. Google does not set cookies on your device as part of this exchange, because fonts are returned as static files. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

No other third-party services are loaded on peoplecap.in. There is no Google Analytics, no Google Tag Manager, no Facebook Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag, no Hotjar, no Microsoft Clarity, and no advertising or remarketing code anywhere on the site. Our own page-view measurement runs server-side (see Measurement above), not as a third-party browser tag.

We have considered self-hosting fonts to eliminate this last third-party request and may do so in a future update.

Managing your preferences

Because the only item we store is the consent record itself, there is nothing for you to opt out of in the way a typical cookie consent banner suggests. The notice you see on first visit is informational. Clicking "Got it" records your acknowledgement so the notice does not reappear.

If you would like to remove the consent record, you can clear your browser's site data for peoplecap.in. The notice will then reappear on your next visit, and you can dismiss it again.

All major browsers also let you view, block, and delete stored data through their settings:

  • Chrome: Settings › Privacy and security › Cookies and other site data
  • Safari: Settings › Privacy › Manage Website Data
  • Firefox: Settings › Privacy & Security › Cookies and Site Data
  • Edge: Settings › Cookies and site permissions

Updates to this policy

If we add a new browser-storage item, a third-party service, or any device-based analytics or tracking in the future, this policy will be updated at the same time and the consent notice on the site will be expanded to give you a real choice. We will not introduce non-essential, device-based tracking quietly.

PeopleCap will not deploy cookie-based or third-party analytics or tracking on this site without first updating the consent banner to present a meaningful choice. First-party, server-side counting that stores nothing on your device, as described under Measurement, sets nothing for you to consent to.

The current version of this policy is always available at peoplecap.in/cookie-policy/. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent material change.
