Brief us on an insurance roleInsurance runs on a chain that no other financial services sub-sector shares in full: a product is priced by actuaries, accepted by underwriters, distributed through agents, banks and digital channels, and settled by claims, all under the IRDAI. A candidate who has worked one link of that chain is not automatically right for the next, and the title rarely tells you which link they own. An underwriter at a life insurer, a general insurer and a health insurer do materially different jobs under the same word.
The pool is also narrow and moves slowly. Qualified actuaries, senior underwriters and experienced claims leaders are a small, known population, and the best of them are not applying anywhere. These searches are won by mapping the market and approaching people directly with a role framed for what they actually do, not by posting a requisition and waiting.
We work only in financial services and fintech, so we screen on the substance. Before a profile reaches you, someone who understands the difference between the lines, the channels and the regulatory context has formed and written a view on whether this person will succeed in your insurer, not in the category.

The complete discipline map with seniority bands is on roles we hire. The segment view, covering the technology and distribution rebuild inside insurers in more depth, sits on our insurance sector page.
We take the brief, then tell you what the market will do with it. For a scarce profile such as a qualified pricing actuary or a senior health underwriter, you hear up front whether the band and location clear the seat, before sourcing starts rather than after six weeks of silence.
We map the insurers, reinsurers and insurtech firms where the relevant work is actually done, then approach directly. In a small, qualification-gated pool the search is won in how the role is framed to people who are not looking, and much of it runs confidentially.
Every profile that reaches you has had a conversation behind it and a written view on fit against your line of business, channel and regulatory context. If we cannot form that view, the profile does not go out. This is what keeps hiring-manager rejection rates down.
Interview coordination, feedback loops, and offer structuring with current market context so the number is right the first time. We stay in contact through the notice period, which in insurance often runs long, then follow up for 90 days after joining.
The same process, described in full with our operating commitments and the work we decline, is on how we work.
We are a good fit when the role sits genuinely inside insurance or insurtech, when actuarial, underwriting, claims, regulatory or technology judgement changes who succeeds, when a previous search has already failed, when the mandate is confidential, or when you need the market read as much as the hire.
We are the wrong choice for high-volume agency-force or branch sales hiring where the requirement is throughput rather than judgement, for roles outside financial services, and for buyers whose primary filter is the lowest fee. We take a small number of active mandates at a time, and that constraint is what makes the assessment real.
If you want the longer version of that argument, specialist versus generalist recruiter sets out where each model actually wins.
We recruit across life, general and health insurers and insurtech firms, on underwriting, actuarial, claims, product, distribution leadership, risk, compliance, data and technology. Our weight sits at the specialist and technology-facing end of the market rather than volume agency-force or branch sales hiring, which we do not run.
Yes. Actuarial across pricing, valuation and reserving, and underwriting across individual, group and commercial lines, are core mandates. These are roles where a qualification is necessary but not sufficient: the substance differs between a life insurer, a general insurer and a health insurer, and between a legacy carrier and an insurtech pricing in near real time.
The insurance sector page describes the segment we work in and the technology, data and distribution rebuild inside it. This page is the buyer-facing recruitment view: the full role map from actuarial and underwriting through claims, distribution, risk, compliance and technology, how a mandate runs, and how we charge. If you are pricing or filling a seat, start here.
Yes. Insurtechs and the digital arms of established insurers hire the same product, engineering and data profiles as fintechs, with the added requirement that the candidate understands how an insurance product is priced, sold and serviced. That overlap with our fintech practice is where much of our insurance technology work sits.
Mumbai for head offices, actuarial and distribution leadership, Delhi NCR for insurers and insurance distribution, Pune and Chennai for insurance captives and shared-services technology, and Bengaluru and Hyderabad for insurtech engineering and captive centres.
Success-fee, payable when a candidate joins, with no fee for shortlist or assessment work that does not result in a placement. Confidential leadership searches can run on retained terms. Fees are agreed before a mandate starts and reflect role seniority and search difficulty.
